The effect of grog type on the quality of surface of sanitary ware made of faience grog

1985
Abstract This paper discusses the influence of grain size and grain shape of the grog composition on the quality of surface of sanitary ware casts made of faience grog. The use of fine grogs possessing spherical particles provides a better surface on both cast and finished ware while also allowing for elimination of base glazing, thereby reducing the required production time.
