A note on cross-Grammians for symmetric realizations

A recent result [1] concerning cross-Grammians for SISO systems is generalized to symmetric realizations of MIMO systems and a simple proof is provided. A counterexample demonstrates that the SISO result does not extend to general MIMO systems.
