Vector for producing transgenic fowl

1990
PURPOSE: To prepare a nonpermuted retrovial vector by including, as exogenous expression gene, a DNA sequence encoding Bryan high titer polymerase and bovine growth hormone gene. CONSTITUTION: This nonpermuted retrovial vector is synthesized by introducing, an exogenous expression gene, a DNA sequence including genes gag, pol, env, LTR necessary for infecting fowl cells, at least one direct reiterated sequence, and integration, replication and control elements, and encoding Bryan high titer polymerase and bovine growth hormone gene. Specifically, a typical example of this vector is pNPBGH85 substituted with env gene imparting infectious power to fowl species deleted or differing in Rous sarcoma virus structural gene env.
