Aufbereitung von Niederdruckspritzgiess-massen mittels Eirich Intensivmischer

2009
The production of Al 2 O 3 -feedstocks for low pressure injection moulding in the Eirich Intensive Mixer is presented. The compounds were prepared using a variety of different mixing parameters, with the friction heat being utilized for liquefying the mix. By applying a vacuum, the formation of unwanted air bubbles is avoided and rapid cooling can be achieved through the evaporation of a solvent as the compound is granulated by the mixing tools. To test the compound, test components were injection moulded and examined after sintering in terms of shrinkage, strength, porosity and raw density. It was demonstrated that the preparation time for low-pressure injection moulding compounds can be reduced from typically several hours to just a few minutes by using the Eirich Intensive Mixer.
