High Resolution Time Frequency Filtering of Surface Waves

Time-frequency filtering can be used to remove non-stationary components - especially surface waves - from seismic signals. The classical concept to perform this is Gabor analysis. Here we present a different method which uses Wigner -Ville analysis and time-frequency-atomic signal decompositions .
