Vitamin B6-Dependent Reactions in Organic Solvents

Pyridoxal 5’-phosphate has been dissolved in isooctane solutions containing reverse micelles of the surfactant bis(2- ethylhexyl)sodium sulfosuccinate and water. The chemical properties of the coenzyme in the new environment have been studied.
