A Case of Spontaneous Evolution of Transverse Lie
1961
Summary
A case of spontaneous evolution of a transverse lie is presented with a review of the literature showing its rarity. It is considered that the mechanism involved in the case reported is similar to that described by Douglas (1819). The antenatal course was complicated by repeated bleeding per vaginam and premature labour: these were probably related to a circumvallate formation of the placenta.
