Transition function for SW metasurface-dispersion

This paper presents an effective and accurate approach for the derivation of the dispersion characteristics of impenetrable Metasurfaces (MTSs). This approach is based on a simple representation of the MTS impedance, depending on one parameter only, which is an equivalent quasi-static capacitance. This procedure can be used to effectively characterize the surface wave (SW) supported by the MTS, as needed in planar lenses and transformation optics devices based on modulated MTSs.
