유아교사의 ‘연구’와 ‘연구자로서의 역할’에 대한 생각

The role of teachers as researchers has been emphasized to raise the standard of education quality and to enlarge teachers ’ expertise. Therefore a great deal of research has been done on the role of teachers as researchers. However, research exploring teachers’ thoughts regarding ‘teachers as researchers’ is insufficient. Four graduate students who had teaching experience at kindergarten were invited in this study. This study analyzed four graduate students’ various ideas on ‘research’ and ‘teachers as researchers.’ The data were collected through in-depth interviews and telephone interviews. As participants’ opinions differed depending on the individual experiences, the interview data were reorganized into a hypothetical talk show format to convey their opinions vividly. The results of this study can be summarized as following five topics; “Different point of views regarding ‘research’”, “Research should be based on teachers’ needs”, “Doing research needs courage”, “Research friendly environment should be provided”, “Conditions that are needed to perform researcher’s role.”
