Influence of minor precipitation reactions on the development of recrystallisation textures in commercial purity aluminium
1998
Cold rolling followed by subsequent recrystallisation annealing of an 1070 aluminium alloy has been done. It is demonstrated that precipitation occurs concurrently with recrystallisation and this influences the texture development. The cube texture component is strongly favoured during annealing at low temperature which can be explained by the strong influence from precipitates. At higher temperature, this influence is not dominant, resulting in a weaker intensity of the cube texture.
