Investigations into the Control of Biofilm Damage with Relevance to Built Heritage (BIODAM)

The report provides background information on the effects of biological colonisation on heritage surfaces and documents laboratory and field evaluations of novel, low toxicity treatments for the control of biofilms. In addition, the compatibility of novel treatments with conservation products (i.e. anti-graffiti barrier, consolidant and water repellent) are discussed.
