Five new species of the Callosobruchus chinensis group from the Oriental Region and Australia (Coleoptera: Bruchidae: Bruchinae)

Of the Callosobruchus chinensis group, C. emeritus n. sp. (NW Australia), C. orientalis n. sp. (Indonesia: Java, Celebes, Bali, Lombok, Philippines: Mindoro), C. nigritus n. sp. (Nepal, N Thailand, Vietnam), C. antennatus n. sp. (N India) and C. montanus n. sp. (N India, Nepal, N Thailand, Laos) are described. Bruchus rubens BOHEMAN, 1833 is synonymized with Callosobruchus chinensis (LINNAEUS, 1758), and Kytorhinus semigriseus MOTSCHULSKI, 1874 is transferred to the genus Callosobruchus PIC.
