Hydrological Modeling Tool for Water Resources Management:A Case Study of a Tunisian Catchment

The Merguellil catchment is a typical Mediterranean semi-arid basin which undergoes regular water shortage aggravated by current drought.During the last decades the continuous construction of small and large dams within the watershed has altered its natural hydrologic regime.The work presented here attempts to simulate the actual water and nutrient balance using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)model.
