Method for recycling cotton fibers from waste clothes

2013
The invention discloses a method for recycling cotton fibers from waste clothes. The method comprises the following steps: step one, pre-treating; step two, pre-soaking; steps three, alcoholysis; step four, decoloring: adding hydrogen peroxide into cleanly washed cotton fibers for decoloring, adding NaOH while decoloring, putting into a water bath with the temperature of 40-55 DEG C for heat preservation for 2-3 h, and putting the decolored cotton fibers in a drying oven with the temperature of 40-80 DEG C for drying to obtain single compound cotton fibers. According to the process, the separation of a single component of the waste clothes, especially, polyester cotton and other mixed fabrics is avoided; one-step separation of undamaged cotton fibers is achieved to enable the cotton fibers to be a component which can be used directly to achieve the purposes of comprehensive utilization and economic value improving; after the reaction is completed, unreacted cotton fibers are in textile state, depolymerized chemical fibers are subjected to hot filtration to separate out the cotton fibers; the cotton fibers are not damaged before and after the reaction, and can be used as manufacturing raw materials in paper manufacturing or textile industries to achieve recycling of cotton fiber resources.
