Interference suppression for the commutation of a DC motor

2008
The invention relates to a noise shielding for the commutation system (14, 16; 18) of a direct current motor (10), the commutator having a brush holder assembly (54) having at least two brushes (14, 16) cooperate, which via connecting lines (20, 28) to a DC power source (30, 32) are connected, wherein the connecting lines and / or are connected to ground via at least one capacitance (38) with each other. Here, the commutation system (14, 16; 18) in one of the housing (46) of the motor (10) and / or of a flanged gear (44) non-shielded portion by an electrically conductive part (52) having lead-through openings for capacitively the housing of the motor-connected terminal wires (20, 28) of the brushes (14, 16) partially shielded, whereby the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of the drive assembly with little additional effort is significantly improved.
