Process for preparing new sweat-holding 5-substituted benzimidazole derivatives

1986
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of novel, 5-substituted benzimidazole derivatives of the general formula (I) in which R is E for an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, for a phenylalkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl part, for a benzoyl or phenylsulfinyl group, D together with A, B or E forms a further carbon-heteroatom bond, andfor the case where R is an alkyl group and the like, a. for an alkenyl or alynyl group having 3 or 4 carbon atoms, or for a by oxo or by Carbalkoxygruppen having 2 to 5 carbon atoms substituted propyl group, while Afuer the case that R is not an alkyl group, also u. a. may be an alkyl group which may be monosubstituted or polysubstituted, and ofB and Eu. a. one together with D represents a further carbon-heteroatom bond, while the other represents hydrogen or together with A forms an α, v-alkylene chain having 2 or 3 members. The compounds of the general formula (I) have antihyperlipoproteinaemic effects, inhibit the formation of throats and arteriosclerosis and the aggregation of blood platelets. Formula I
