Serial SEP’s and Intraoperative SEP Recording in a Patient with Syringomyelia. A Case Report

1987
The diagnosis of syringomyelia is mainly based upon the clinical signs of dissociated sensory loss, slowly progressive disturbances of the long tracts of the spinal cord and the radiological demonstration of cysts in the spinal cord. Only a limited number of studies have been found using the SEP in the establishment of spinal sensory tract function. We did not find any follow-up study using the SEP.
