The utility model provides a clutch mechanism. The clutch mechanism comprises a forward gear clutch, a reverse gear clutch and a planetary mechanism connected between the forward gear clutch and the reverse gear clutch. The forward gear clutch comprises an annular cylindrical forward gear clutch oil cylinder and an annular forward gear piston, wherein an annular forward gear piston moving cavity is formed inside the annular cylindrical forward gear clutch oil cylinder, the annular forward gear piston is located in the annular forward gear piston moving cavity and divides the annular forward gear piston moving cavity into a pressure cavity and a non-pressure cavity, a first annular groove is formed in the side, located in the non-pressure cavity, of the forward gear piston, an annular balance piston which is coaxial with the forward gear piston is arranged in the first annular groove, and a forward gear piston dynamic pressure compensation cavity is formed between the balance piston and the first annular groove. According to the clutch mechanism, the balance piston is additionally arranged so that the dynamic pressure compensation cavity can be formed between the balance piston and the forward gear piston and used for compensating for dynamic pressure produced by oil pressure centrifugal force of the forward gear piston, and therefore the forward gear piston can return more rapidly and more smoothly, and rapid and smooth combination and separation of the clutches are achieved.
