wiper assembly for a motor vehicle comprising a plate (1) supporting a geared motor group (2) whose output shaft (3) is for driving a wiper blade (4), this plate (1 ) further comprising means for centering and fixing the assembly to a vehicle wall, characterized in that the plate (1) carries on one (1a) of its sides centering means (10) adaptable to holes made in varying thickness of walls of the vehicle and fastening means (7) which can be latched between complementary fastening means for attachment to said vehicle wall.
