Study on Slope Difference of Soil Moisture and Runoff in Hilly Farmland of Citrus Garden

2004
The slope difference of soil moisture and runoff in hilly farmland of citrus garden in Liu Farm of Jiangxi Province, were studied in 2001~2002, based on position-fixed experiment and rainfall-soil water circulation principle. Some results are as follows: The soil water potential along the slope was substantially higher at foot slope in the dry season and lower in the rainy season than at upper slope, because of different texture at different slope position. It is same for soil water storage of 150 cm and budget. The plot experiment data demonstrated that the runoff depth of 10 mm rainfall is 0.596 mm and 0.585 mm at upper slope and foot slope in dry season, and it's 0.429 mm and 0.488 mm. The results provide theoretical basis for water-saving irrigation, soil moisture real-time control and nutrient transport analysis.
