Dry Autothermal Reaction (ATR) for Synthesis Gas Production on MgAIOx-supported Catalysts

Hydrotalcite prepared by the alcoxide method is demonstrated to be an improved support for noblemetal catalysts suitable for the dry autothermal reaction (ATR) of methane. The hydrotalcite support provides higher average activity and extended lifetime as compared to the corresponding MgO-supported catalysts, attributable to the finer dispersion of noble metal particles.
