Preparation of Functional Polymer PSB Nanomaterial and Its Catalytic Property

After properly heat-activated treatment,a functional polymer PSB(polyschiff base) nanomaterial,PSB-1～PSB4,was successfully obtained and used as catalyst in water pollution treatment.The samples were determined by means of DTA-TG,TEM,FT-IR and UV-Vis.Results show that under natural light and air conditions,methylene blue(MB) could be almost fully degraded in the presence of PSB within a few minutes,the mineralizing efficiency reached to 65.7%.Furthermore,the catalyst has superior stability and it can be reused for nine runs.The existence of conjugation structure and polar groups such as CN,CO was found to be decisive factors for the catalytic property.
