Theoretical Analysis of Strong Changes in the Shape of Initially Elliptic Plates

On the basis of the energy approach, we obtain an analytic solution for elliptic and round plates fixed along the contour and statically loaded by uniform pressure in the case of large deflections. The numerical results are compared with the experimental data.
