ON CALCULATIONS OF SPACE DISTRIBUTION OF DOSE STREAMS OF CAPTURE $gamma$ RADIATION

A simplified method to find distribution of capture gamma radiation streams, which is based on the notion of a buildup factor and data on build-up factors for a case of a point isotopic monopower source in an infinite medium is described. The plots of dose stream distributions of capture gamma -radiation from iron, nickel, chromium, and water are presented that make it possible to fulfill calculations with the accuracy sufficient for practical purposes.
