Analysis of the Occupational Health of a Group of Social Workers

2020
Although there seems to be a high consensus in the study of welfare and occupational health in social workers, there are very few studies conducted from the new positive perspective of the psychology of occupational health. From this perspective, engagement appears as a key concept in the welfare and motivation of these workers. In this sense, the objective of this study is to describe the level of engagement in the work of a sample of social workers in the province of Huelva (Spain) based on labor and sociodemographic characteristics. The results of this research suggest that the increase of labor and personal resources in social workers would increase the levels of engagement and the improvement of both health and quality of care for users of social and community centers.
