Integrating sphere and cuboid channel models for indoor non-line-of-sight visible light communications

The non-line-of-sight visible light communications (VLC) is investigated via both the integrating sphere model and the cuboid model, which can significantly improve the VLC mobility. The influences of geometric configurations of the LED light source on the received signal intensity and corresponding impulse broadening are analyzed via ray-tracing Monte Carlo simulations. The present task may be useful for building the future's unified testing criteria of the LED light sources both in visible light communications and general indoor lighting.
