The significance analysis of MCV,MCH and RDW detection in the application of the diagnosis of children with iron deficiency anemia

2013
Objective To study and compare the differences of red blood cell parameters for children with iron deficiency anemia patients and healthy children,so as to provide guidance basis for the clinical diagnosis of children with iron deficiency anemia. Methods 96 cases of the healthy check-up of children with iron deficiency anemia patients and healthy children in our hospital from December 2010 to December 2012 were chosen as the research object.According to whether suffered from iron deficiency anemia group, they were divided into the health children group and the children with iron deficiency anemia group. In viewed of the erythrocyte mean corpuscular volume(MCV),red cell distribution width(RDW) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin(MCH) of the two groups, they were taken for research. Results The MCV and MCHC level in the healthy children was significantly higher than that of children with iron deficiency anemia; The RDW level of healthy children was significantly lower than that of children with iron deficiency anemia, compared between the two groups, the differences were all statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion In the practice of clinical diagnosis of children with iron deficiency anemia, the MCV,RDW and MCH detection has an important clinical diagnostic value, and it is a reliable method in clinical diagnosis of children with iron deficiency anemia.
