Coloring composition, method for producing coloring composition, color filter, and organic electroluminescent display element

The present invention provides: a coloring composition which achieves good light division with respect to the emission spectrum of a white organic electroluminescent element, and which has excellent developability; a method for producing a coloring composition; a color filter; and an organic electroluminescent display element. A coloring composition according to the present invention is used for an organic electroluminescent display element, and contains a coloring agent that contains 55-85% by mass of a green coloring agent that contains at least C. I. pigment green 36 and C. I. pigment green 58 and 15-45% by mass of a yellow coloring agent that contains at least C. I. pigment yellow 139. The green coloring agent contains C. I. pigment green 36 and C. I. pigment green 58 at a mass ratio of from 0.9:1 to 1.7:1, and contains C. I. pigment green 36 and C. I. pigment green 58 in a total amount of 80-100% by mass. The coloring agent contains C. I. pigment yellow 139 in an amount of 5-35% by mass.
