The method includes obtaining an SNS application page in the display state on the third party desktop through interception; querying messages from an SNS application message corresponding to the SNS application page, and dragging newly-added messages from the SNS application; and updating the dragged messages in the SNS application page. The apparatus comprises an interception module which is used for obtaining the SNS application page in the display state on the third party desktop through interception, a message acquiring module which is used for querying messages from the SNS application corresponding to the SNS application page and dragging the newly-added messages from the SNS application, and a page updating module which is used for updating the dragged messages in the SNS application page. The invention can improve the efficiency for realizing SNS application functions.
