Giant degenerative perineurial cell tumor

We report a case of giant perineurial cell tumor, probably benign, with extensive degenerative changes. The secondary changes were reminiscent of those in giant ancient neurilemomas. To our knowledge, there has been no documention of the imaging features in perineurioma. The MR findings of the present tumor, especially on T2-weighted images, correlated well with the histologic appearance.
