Ultrasound of focal hepatic lesions

Summary Hepatic sonography is useful in characterizing many focal liver lesions (Tables 2–6). It is safe, portable, and relatively inexpensive. With the development of color Doppler imaging, power Doppler imaging, and intravenous-ultrasound contrast agents, the ability to detect and precisely diagnose a focal hepatic lesion may be improved.
