Educação ambiental e o uso de plantas medicinais por idosos do centro de convivência em Santa Luzia – PB

Environmental education and medicinal plants are pedagogical instruments that can subsidizethe educational-environmental relationship, offering opportunities for insertion of different aspects.Thus, it was aimed to retrieve information about the use of medicinal plants by elderlypeople in the Center of Coexistence in Santa Luzia - PB and also contribute to the rational useof these species. Educational lectures were conducted on medicinal plants and in the opportunityinterviewed 40 elderly people, these data were analyzed from descriptive statistical analysisby percentage frequencies observed in the categories of variables and tabulated in Excel.Most of the interviewees were women with chronic problems and already used medicinalplants. Concluding that most of the elderly present chronic health problems and the medicinalplants help in this treatment, however, having the rational use of these plants.
