A circuit arrangement for supplying a load from an electrical system, said circuit arrangement comprising: a) a switching device (9) for modulating the consumers supplied via a supply circuit supply signal, characterized by b detecting means (1 to 6, 8) for detecting the supply current, wherein said detecting means includes a time measuring device (5), the supply current detected to measure the time constants of change in the (by the detection means 1, 8)); and c) control means (7) for controlling the modulation of the switching means (9) in response to the detected current level and the measured time constant.
