Stuart Neville (b. 1972), 2010: The Twelve

2020
One of the most promising talents to have emerged in British crime writing in recent years, Stuart Neville’s four novels have mostly focused on the complicated legacy of the Troubles since the signing of the Good Friday Agreement. Stuart Neville was born in Armagh ‘within a few days of Bloody Sunday’ and has worked in a variety of professions ‘a musician, a composer, a teacher, a salesman, a film extra, a baker’. Neville’s writing career began when he submitted a short story ‘The Last Dance’ to the online magazine ThugLit.com in 2008. Following its publication, Neville was contacted by renowned American literary agent Nat Sobel who wanted him to produce a novel.
