Disorder-induced Raman scattering in dilute ferroelectrics

1997
Abstract The theory of the Raman light scattering on the localized polar modes induced by random electric fields in disordered cubic ferroelectrics is presented for a case of strong disorder. The results are compared with the Raman data for PMN crystals. The observed anomalies gives the evidence for the Griffiths' (650 K) and dipole-glass (270 K) transitions.
