The Design of a Heart Sound Teletransmission System
2007
Heart sounds provide clinicians with valuable diagnostic and prognostic information concerning the heart valves and hemodynamics of heart. In this paper, a heart sound teletransmission system is presented. The system contains a data-acquisition and a center subsystem. The data-acquisition subsystem includes heart sound obtaining, filtering, amplifying, sampling, encrypting, compressing and communicating with the center. The center subsystem is primarily employed for data analysis. Preliminary results suggest that the system may be a useful tool for telemonitor or assisting diagnoses.
