Complicações em ovário-salpingo-histerectomia em cadela

2016
Although ovarian salpingo-hysterectomy (OSH) is considered a technically simple surgical procedure, there are risks of complications. All sutures are foreign to the body and, during the selection it must be taken into consideration its physical and biological interaction between the thread and animal tissue, as well as the use of aseptic techniques suitable for postoperative complications are avoided. This study aimed to report a case of secondary hydronephrosis in a ovarian salpingo-hysterectomy surgery performed on a dog, consequent tecidual reaction caused by suture cotton. After the resection of right and left granulomas and right nephrectomy the animal showed clinical resolution.
