Sources of Anisotropy and Extraordinary Magnetic Ordering in Cerium and Actinide Intermetallics

1980
The cerium and light actinide monopnictides of NaCl - structure exhibit highly unusual magnetic structures. This behavior is strikingly similar for the cerium and the light actinide monopnictides in the existence of extremely strong anisotropy favoring 〈100〉 alignment, and in the fact that often there are transitions between unusual linear magnetic structures.
