The invention relates to an umbrella prompting device having a bluetooth low-power consumption module and a prompting method. The umbrella prompting device comprises a bluetooth low-consumption module disposed on an umbrella main body, a button cell, and a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal comprises a meteorological data updating module, a user leaving indoor monitoring module, a broadcast signal receiving module, an RSSI conversion distance model module, and an alarming module. The raining time period can be acquired according to the real-time weather information, and when the user leaves the indoor space, which is monitored by the device, the information can be broadcasted by the low-power consumption bluetooth communication module of the umbrella in every 800 milliseconds, and the mobile terminal is used to determine whether the user carries the umbrella according to the received RSSI value. When the user forgets to carry the umbrella, the mobile terminal is used to transmit the vibration signals and the sound signals to prompt the user to carry the umbrella. When the user carries the umbrella, the prompting signals cannot be transmitted. By using the umbrella prompting device, the user cannot forget to carry the umbrella in the daily lives, when the user do not know the weather condition, and at the same time, the umbrella cannot be lost in a lot of occasions, because the user cannot forget to carry the umbrella.
