Forming of frequency-independent radiation patterns for antennas with uniform amplitude aperture excitation

2017
For some forms of uniformly excited aperture, the method of forming a frequency-independent radiation patterns in the wide frequency band was proposed on a basis of the properties of equivalent linear radiator. By the appropriate choice of the frequency-dependent phase distribution, the radiation patterns stabilization effect can be achieved in a frequency band width of not less than four octaves. The example of a reflector antenna with a circular aperture shows the results of experiments confirming the effectiveness of the proposed method.
