Evaluation of the effect of quality control circle activities in reducing the incidence of puncture site complications after cerebrovascular intervention

2020
Objective To explore the effect of quality control circle activities in reducing the incidence of puncture site complications after cerebrovascular intervention, and to improve the safety of interventional surgery. Methods The second department of neurology of our hospital carried out quality control circle activities since January 1, 2019, to reduce the incidence of complications at the puncture site after cerebrovascular intervention. The complications were reduced by PDCA programmed circulation management. 135 patients who received cerebrovascular intervention before carrying out quality control circle activities (from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018) were set as the control group, 132 patients who underwent cerebrovascular intervention after carrying out quality control circle activities (from January 1, 2019 to May 31, 2019) were set as the observation group. The complications of puncture site in the two groups were statistically analyzed, and the effect of the quality control circle activities was evaluated. Results After carrying out quality control circle activities, there were only 6 cases of puncture site complications in the observation group, with the incidence of 4.55%; there were 34 cases in the control group, with the incidence of 25.19%. The incidence after the activity was significantly lower than that before the activity (P=0.000). Conclusions Quality control circle activities are carried out through the PDCA programmed circulation management method, the establishment of uniform preventive management standards in the division as a guide on the current status of the subject, strengthening intervention-related nursing knowledge and awareness of risk prevention, which can significantly reduce the complications of the puncture site of patients after cerebrovascular intervention and improve the safety of nursing.
