PARTICIPATING EXTERNAL QUALITY ASSESSMENT AND IMPROVE LABORATORY QUALITY CONTROL

Objective:Participating NCCL proficiency testing(PT) to evaluate and improve laboratory performance.Methods:Participating NCCL proficiency testing on tumor markers and hormones in 2008.Each survey carries out nine times a year.Laboratory should send the results back to NCCL within 10 days after receiving the specimen.NCCL evaluates the results using comparable peer groups and provides a report summarizing the results of all participating laboratories.Meanwhile external quality assessonent of tumor markers and hormones were deteced every day.Results:379 in the total of 390 test results on 36 test items were accorded with NCCL standard and the qualified rate reached to 97.3%.curves of tumor markens and hormones appeared stable.cv% moeted the reqaire ments of total errol and appeared less gradually.Conclusion:Participating NCCL proficiency testing is a good way to monitor the accuracy and liability of test results continuously,and improve staff work capability and quality control management.
