Disclosed is a light emitting device that is provided with: a light emitting element; a reflecting wall surrounding the light emitting element; and a diffusion/reflection sheet, which contains a plurality of particles, and to which light outputted from the light emitting element, and light reflected by the reflecting wall are inputted.
