Veterans Affairs (VA)

Psychology has had profound growth and impact in the delivery of mental health care in the Department of Veterans Affairs health-care system, the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The profession has helped to foster mental health care integration, interdisciplinary practice, recovery-oriented care, and service innovation. In so doing, psychology staffing and training positions have grown to historic high levels, to support delivery of mental health care in VHA.
