Training in the nuclear transport industry

This chapter looks at the training requirements for persons involved with the transport of radioactive materials. It considers the legal requirements and the scope of the training required by the International Atomic Energy Agency and other regulations. It then looks in more detail at the training required, what refresher training is required, and what other items need to be considered as part of an effective training programme. Finally, some guidance is suggested by looking at the training matrices from the air and sea regulations plus a UK industry support body.
