Dificuldades de família e profissionais de enfermagem no cuidado à criança com fissura labiopalatina

2018
The clefts of the lip and palate are the most common birth defects. One of the great challenges is the acceptance by the mother and the family of a child with cleft lip and palate, since the mother's feelings of revolt and guilt arise in generating a child with congenital malformation. In addition, providing care to a patient with cleft lip and palate also arouses ambiguous feelings in the nursing team. The present study aimed to describe the difficulties faced by the family and nursing professionals in the care of children with cleft lip and palate. It is an integrative review of the literature, in which the scientific articles used in the research were collected in the electronic database LILACS and SciELO Brasil Library, from January 1995 to December 2017. It was evidenced that for mothers the birth of a child with congenital defect is a delicate and conflicting moment that demands the assistance of qualified professionals in this scenario in which humanization and technical-scientific knowledge are essential. However, nurses who provide assistance to patients with congenital palatal lip malformation also allow the emergence of various feelings, such as: satisfaction, contradictions and conflicts, since few are able to deal with the patient with congenital malformation. Given the scarcity of works in the literature, new scientific investigations on the subject are important.
