Single-pion production in neutrino and antineutrino reactions

We have studied the neutral-current reactions ..nu../sub ..mu../N..--> nu../sub ..mu../N'..pi../sup 0/ and nu-bar/sub ..mu../N ..-->..nu-bar/sub ..mu../N'..pi../sup 0/ and compared them to the charged-current reactions ..nu../sub ..mu../N..--> mu../sup -/N''..pi../sup 0/ and nu-bar/sub ..mu../N..--> mu../sup +/N''..pi../sup 0/. We have measured the ratios R'/sub 0/=sigma (..nu../sub ..mu../N..--> nu../sub ..mu../N'..pi../sup 0/)/2sigma (..nu../sub ..mu../N..--> mu../sup -/N''..pi../sup 0/) and R-bar'/sub 0/ =sigma (nu-bar/sub ..mu../N..-->..nu-bar/sub ..mu../N'..pi../sup 0/)/2sigma (nu-bar/sub ..mu../N ..--> mu../sup +/N''..pi../sup 0/) to be 0.17 +- 0.04 and 0.39 +- 0.18, respectively. We also present the ..pi../sup 0/p invariant-mass distribution of the neutrino-induced reactions. (AIP)
