Neurological Emergencies in Pregnancy and Puerperium

Neurological diseases during pregnancy are rare but when they occur they are a real challenge both from a diagnostic and a therapeutic point of view. Pregnant women and children are regularly excluded from the trials so the diagnostic and therapeutic approach is guided both by pathophysiological considerations and by observations related to the available documentation on exposure during pregnancy.
