POR QUE FALAR SOBRE RAÇA NOS ESTUDOS ORGANIZACIONAIS NO BRASIL? DA DISCUSSÃO BIOLÓGICA À DIMENSÃO POLÍTICA

O objetivo deste artigo e realizar uma abordagem acerca da importância de se discutir o conceito de raca nos Estudos Organizacionais no Brasil. Em que pese que raca seja um conceito combatido em termos biologicos, pois se defende que todos os seres humanos compoem unica raca, apresentamos, com base em uma perspectiva pos-estruturalista, a relevância de nao silenciamento desse conceito nas analises sociais visto que, do ponto de vista discursivo, o conceito de raca e um fenomeno social que ainda justifica segregacao e desigualdades em nossa sociedade. Com efeito, silenciar o termo raca e silenciar o conjunto de producoes sociais em que ele esta envolvido. Para o desenvolvimento deste argumento, inicialmente, apresentamos um debate sobre a construcao das relacoes raciais no Brasil, destacando a construcao socio historica deste termo nas Ciencias Sociais. A seguir, justificamos a relevância de utilizacao do conceito de raca nas analises sociais, mesmo havendo outros conceitos disponiveis e tratados como alternativos, como modo de invocar sentidos simbolicos de classificacao de sujeitos/grupos e ainda guardar relacoes com desigualdades estruturais, pois e precisamente para estes efeitos de producao do conceito de raca que se pretende chamar a atencao. Como contribuicao aos Estudos Organizacionais, destacamos a utilizacao do termo raca como base de analise das organizacoes, visto sua relevância para compreensao de constituicao das relacoes sociais e de trabalho nos espacos organizacionais, possibilitando desconstruir mitos sobre diversidade nas organizacoes. WHY TALK ABOUT RACES ON ORGANIZATIONAL STUDIES IN BRAZIL? FROM BIOLOGICAL DISCUSSION TO POLITICS DIMENSION ABSTRACT The purpose of this paper is to present discuss the importance of discussing the concept of race in Organizational Studies of Brazil. Despite that race is a concept fought in biological terms, as it is argued that all human beings make up only race, we present, based on a poststructuralist perspective, the importance of not silencing this concept in social analysis since the discursive point of view, the concept of race is a social phenomenon that still justify segregation and inequalities in our society. Indeed, silence the term race is to mute the set of social productions in which it is involved. To develop this argument, initially, we present a discussion on the construction of race relations in Brazil, highlighting the socio-historical construction of this term in the social sciences. Next, we justify the relevance of using the concept of race in social analysis, even with other concepts available and treated as alternative, as a way to invoke symbolic meanings of subject classification/groups and still keep relations with structural inequalities, it is precisely for these production effects of the race concept that is intended to draw attention. As a contribution to organizational studies, we highlight the use of the term race as a basis for analysis of organizations, as its relevance to understanding the constitution of social and labor relations in the organizational spaces, allowing deconstructing myths about diversity in organizations.
