A touch screen display device (100) comprises a liquid crystal panel (118) and a detecting portion to receive (130) provided on the upper edges of the liquid crystal panel for detecting a position touched by a user or an object. The detecting portion of the touch (130) comprises a plurality of infrared lamps (132), tubes infrared reflecting (150) mounted with the infrared lamps, each of the tubes having a plurality of light-emitting regions (154) and a plurality of non-exit regions (152) formed at a surface facing an upper surface of the liquid crystal panel so that the infrared light emitted by the infrared lamps is irradiated evenly on the upper surface of the liquid crystal panel and a plurality of image sensors (160) for sensing the infrared transmitted through the light exit regions of the tubes infrared reflecting light.
